Experiencing, Engaging and Facilitating Group Dynamics - A Workshop

INTRODUCTION

The 3 associations for group dynamics from Austria & Germany, DGGO, ÖAGG|GD.DG & ÖGGO, are offering a group dynamic training specially for facilitators/trainers from different (European) countries. This workshop also offers the opportunity to learn how facilitators from different group dynamics traditions conduct their training. We have invited two colleagues from India to this training session in 2027: Gauri Nigudkar and Sankar Ramamoorthy.

In a T-Group, human dynamics are constantly present, affecting the group in ways they interrelate and perform tasks. Even though nothing may seem to be happening, there is always considerable activity at three levels of the system – intrapersonal, interpersonal and group. At times, environmental dynamics (outside the group) also impact the system at all levels.

In this workshop, we will work both as participants as well as observers and/or researchers of our own processes and help ourselves to experience, engage and facilitate group dynamics in a functional way. We will work to co-create an empowering context in which we may progress to more advanced phases of group dynamic factors.

METHODOLOGY

The methodology will be a combination of the following:

  1. T- Group – this will be the larger component of the overall design;
  2. Teaching Nuggets;
  3. Reflections & Journaling;
  4. Review & Application;
  5. Facilitation practice.

The timing, duration and design of these sessions will be based on our joint diagnosis of our group and its needs in the moment.
